Integrity Woman of the Year Award
- by Chifound
LAGOS – The Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ) has honoured Lady Amaka Mba-Olobor, the United States-based philanthropist with the Nigerian Integrity Woman of the Year 2023 award.
The award was presented to the Abia State born philanthropist in Lagos over the weekend at the ceremony tagged: ‘Nigerian Patriot Conference.’
Dr. Charles Okhai, National President, NACJ, said the honour was bestowed on Mba-Olobor due to her very impressive and consistent track record of diligence, selfless service to humanity, excellent leadership capacity, high sense of integrity, and great spirit of patriotism.
He said: “The driving force behind the award is to sensitise leaders with the spirit of patriotism and integrity. Therefore, your nomination is predicated on your very impressive and consistent track record of your diligence, selfless service to humanity, excellent leadership capacity, and above all, your high sense of integrity, and great spirit of patriotism.
“Patriotism and integrity are twin human attributes without which no nation can attain meaningful development. In fact, the developmental progress of any nation is intrinsically connected to the level of patriotism and integrity of her leaders.
“Individually, it takes integrity to have a major breakthrough in any human endeavor the way you have made your mark in your field. We therefore congratulate you for emerging the winner of this highly coveted Award Category.”
Responding on the recognition, Mba-Olobor tasked Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of honesty and integrity, pledging to continue to serve God and humanity.
When we willingly go out of our way to help those with no thought of return or reward, there exist a joy of the heart that is priceless. It comes down to a very simple principle: if you want to feel good about yourself, do something for someone else. Seeing people happy (and knowing you were able to contribute to it), is a wonderful thing!
